October 6, 2008

Willie Basse, who is best known as bassist/frontman for the '80s/early '90s Los Angeles-based band BLACK SHEEP, has signed on to appear in the new reality TV series "Rockstar Reality". The series documents a day in the life and times of Basse as he makes the transition from real estate agent back into rock n roll. The series will offer fans a behind-the-scenes look at everything from the search to find homes for spoiled child stars to forming a band of rock legends and a glimpse into the underbelly of the music business as Willie deals with his bandmates, immigration for his keyboard player, greedy managers, booking agents, etc. all while preparing for his impending world tour.

The first episode features manager Robert Fitzpatrick, who has been in the music business since the '60s and has worked with artists like THE BEATLES, THE ROLLING STONES and THE WHO, as well as custom guitar amp guru Mike Morin, who has built amps for everyone from KORN and LINKIN PARK to JIMMY EATS WORLD and JOHN FOGERTY.

A trailer for the series can be viewed below.

Willie Basse has resurfaced in the rock scene with his new album "The Money Grind" on his own New Empire Media label.

Basse, known for his knack as a talent scout, has collaborated and performed with everyone from Slash, Paul Gilbert and James Kottak to Randy Castillo and Mitch Perry.
